Pay to Play on a Lazy Sunday

Well as an artist with a baby sometimes you have to be okay with not stressing about all the work that needs to be done. See the stress is very different from someone with a "regular" job. What I mean is there is no set thing to do, place to clock in, no format at all. So, it's just 24/7 thinking about the art piece that needs to be done, with the next on the horizon as you build your website, proof prints, learn about what a business EIN number is and how to get it since you don't just get one when you create an LLC. In my head I differentiated it as the LLC is the state and the EIN number is the number the Fed gives you, but it's up to you to do it. I guess I could've paid some website to do it all for me, but a lot of stuff is free if you know where to look. But yeah... I never took a business class, which I probably should, but who has the time? I'm sure there's a TikTok out there with some business tips. I'm making a joke, but honestly, I get most of my knowledge from YouTube. I'll always be proud of learning how to fix my dish washer. Twice.

The wife is out, I have the baby, who's waking up right now... I guess... hold on she's got the binky... I'm watching her on a monitor... Okay she's asleep.

So, the wife's out and I'm going over my website. Found out I need to upgrade my website to "Business" so I can sell prints. That confused me because I thought, I'm not selling off my website, but I've linked this Print on Demand company to it, they are the company that takes care of everything, the links are just on my website. NOPE! Even so, I need to upgrade my website. FML. So, that's on pause, I already spent a crap load to have the site up with the name I want, until I can get traffic there's no point in adding a $25/mo. to anything. Now all my artwork is up on their website, what is it... PRINTFUL. If you want some prints, you have to go there. I ordered a couple, wanted to see how their frames and matts were cut.

I'm still compiling some more artwork since I feel I need more for variety but also, I need to stay in the same style, this marble gold mesh thing I've been doing is cool, I love it, I've had great feedback, so I'm going to stick this one out until I have like a strong thirty to choose my favorite fifteen, and in the meantime, I'm hitting up galleries. I'm thinking if I can get a company to help me out with acrylic prints, I find some nice gold frames with a filigree that would fit them, they would look great, but I need to find a local printshop or else these acrylic prints are going to end up costing me thousands to get done. I'm wondering if I could order my own acrylic squares at cost, bring them to the print shops... I stopped to look that up, couldn't tell which acrylic sheet or square or whatever is made for printing or for a window. Is there a difference? This is what I'm talking about, I'm sitting here on a Sunday, about to go on a deep dive on acrylic panels, it's 24/7.

Babies still asleep, I'm going to go make something to eat and try to find a video on acrylic printing methods on YouTube.
